If you’ve ever been in Aransas County on the Fourth of July, chances are very good you have watched the Rockport 4th Of July Fireworks show known as the Wendell Family Fireworks!

Wendell Family Fireworks is a Rockport 4th of July Fireworks tradition, started by the late Jerry and Jan Wendell back in 1965.

The Fireworks start at dark. Best spots to view the Wendell Family Fireworks are:

  • Along Broadway/Fulton Beach Road
  • Along highway 35 by little bay
  • Rockport beach park
  • Rockport marina and sea wall
